Seafarers Hospital Society

The Seafarers Hospital Society is dedicated to meeting the health, welfare and advice needs of seafarers. If you are or have been a merchant seafarer or fisherman, we’re here to help you and your dependants. Help we provide includes: Grants for essential household items • Disability aids • Financial assistance for funerals, debts and other essential needs A national telephone advice service for seafarers – SAIL (also available to RN/RM personnel) • Access to free physiotherapy and mental health and wellbeing support  Support for a number of local projects helping to promote seafarers’ health (including the Seafit Programme for fishermen) • Collaborative funding for selected institutions that support seafarers • Information on health and the Dreadnought Medical Service Contact us or visit our website to find out more.
